Shakti Educational and Cultural Society organized Yamuna Trophy 2019

Shakti Educational and Cultural Society (regd.) in association with IMWA recently organised the 4th Yamuna Trophy 2019 between Rajya Sabha XI and Power Grid XI, on 11th November 2018 at 10:00 am at Yamuna Sports Complex, SurajmalVihar, East Delhi.

The main objective of the event was a charitable cause for cleaning of the Yamuna. The pollution of these water bodies needs our attention and thus the intention of this event. The event is targeted to create awareness among the people to keep the environment clean as it is vital to contribute towards the purification of nature. Nature is a point of major concern today and so is Yamuna. The Yamuna River once had 'clear blue' water but now it is one of the most polluted rivers in the world especially around New Delhi. Such indicators from nature make us realise that we must join hands to make Delhi clean and greener again. Sh. Rakesh Gupta, an IAS officer and Secretary of UPSC was the Chief Guest at this event.

Going back to the match, it was something really thrilling and exciting. Both teams were equally good on the field. But it is a part of every game that we come to an end with an eventual winner. We too got it and I am proud to announce Rajya Sabha XI as the eventual champions,

“I wish the team heartiest of congratulations. May these talents continue getting proliferating in their desired fields. And I wish the same for the runners up too. You all have tremendous spirits. I wish you all the very best and good luck for all the future endeavours. Last but not the least, please unite together for your home state. It needs you all to make it look what you dream of it”, S.K.Sharma, President, Shakti Educational & Cultural Society ( Regd)
