Restaurants and Dining
Mediterranean Skewers is Castaic’s best restaurant. Located at Hasley Canyon Road, the Middle Eastern cuisine offers a menu filled with kebabs, rotis, curries, hummus, and other skewed meats. Their masala papad is a must try, but the shrimp curry over saffron rice is just as appetizing. Try their chicken kebabs for an authentic Mediterranean dining experience. Casa Lupita is one of California’s many Mexican restaurants. The restaurant off
Castaic Road has the usual tacos, nachos, burritos, and rice meals. It’s A Grind Coffee House at The Old Road is a perfect way to complement the historical tours. For as little as $2, guests get to snag the finest brewed coffee in town, plus some ideal outdoor seating space.

When to Visit
The Castaic Days is an outdoor festival which aims to promote tourism around the Castaic Lake Recreation Area. Barely three years old, the festival is usually launched during late September. The much-anticipated event includes activities such as entertainment offered by SCV Blues Society, Elite Dance Studio, kayaking, and the opening of the Reptacular Animals petting zoo. Castaic Days also features fishing demonstrations, model float planes, Remo drum circles, climbing walls, and a classic car show. The two days of fun is the best time to visit Castaic, though the region is tourist-friendly year-round.
