Onco life cancer hospital chooses kid to make a Difference!!

More than 2000 school children participated in Cancer Awareness rally at Satara 

07 February 2019: Now kids will the mediator to spread awareness on cancer. As everyone knows sedentary lifestyle plays a vital role in Cancer, keeping that in mind Onco life Cancer a superspeciality hospital organized kids rally from 8th to 11th Standard. More than 2000 kids has been walked with placards, posters with slogans written on it on 4th February 2019 

Schools such as Annasaheb kalyani school,Maharaja sayajirao vidyalaya,New English school,& Anant English school,all schools from satara has been participating in this drive.

According to statistics from the National Institute of Cancer Prevention and Research, India has an estimated 2.5 million people living with cancer. Every year, over 11 lakhs new cancer patients are registered with close to 6 lakhs cancer-related deaths each year. Cancer affects individuals of any age, male and female as well as any socio-economic strata. While lip and oral cavity cancers are more common among men, women are commonly affected by breast and cervical cancer.

By 2020, the world population is expected to have approximately 15 million new cancer cases with close to 12 million cancer-related deaths. India accounts for the third highest number of cancer cases among women after China and the US, growing annually at 4.5%. 

Mr. Uday Deshmukh , MD & Chairman of Onco Life Cancer centre,satara said, “We believe that today’s kids are the future of our nation, they should know about detailed consequences of this disease. With an increase in number of cancer we took an initiative to spread awareness and the precautions that need to be taken across several spectrums of our health, which includes, gender, age and lifestyle.”

“People know cancer as diseases, but it is more important to create awareness about the importance of early detection and treatment to avoid associated risks with the disease. The objective of this campaign is to raise awareness and encouraging efforts towards early prevention, detection and cure.”
