#NayiDigitalDisha: NIIT Foundation and YuWaah, UNICEF, Launch Open Online Course to Empower Youth in Digital Marketing

Delhi July 2025: With India recently achieving the status of the 4th largest economy, it is envisioned that the next wave of growth will be driven by India’s large youth population. Skill development, particularly future-ready skills, is therefore a pertinent need for our country’s growth. It is therefore necessary for the non-profits to aid the government towards our endeavour for a 100 percent skilled nation by 2047.

NIIT Foundation, in collaboration with YuWaah, UNICEF has launched an Open Online Course in Digital Marketing under the campaign banner #NayiDigitalDisha. The program is currently being implemented across Rajasthan, Jharkhand, and Odisha, with the aim of creating a digitally empowered and job-ready generation.

This course is designed to make high-quality digital education accessible to underserved youth, particularly those in remote or marginalized communities. Participants of the course will receive an NCVET-assessed and NSDC-certified credential, enabling them to work effectively within the digital marketing domain. The course equips learners with the skills to develop and implement marketing strategies using social media and the internet, source customers for organizations, and continually enhance their professional and technical competencies. The program is scheduled to run for 6 months, reaching over 500 young individuals across 3 states in India.

NIIT Foundation has curated the course content through consultation with industry, and its decades of experience driving skill training across India. Speaking about the initiative, Charu Kapoor, Country Director, NIIT Foundation] said, “This program is a step toward equipping India’s youth with real-world digital skills that will help them thrive in a tech-driven economy.” The program is focused on helping participants secure quality employment, and improve their overall quality of life.

The program is already making a tangible impact. One notable success story is of Bhavya Yadav who shared , “Before joining the Open Online Course, I had never thought digital marketing could be a career path for me. Training enabled me to secure jobs in places such as Just Dial and Accord International”.

The program duration is 8 weeks, and participants will receive industry-recognized certifications from NIIT Foundation and YuWaah, UNICEF.
